Weekly news briefing: UPR nursery school gets reaccredited, and the HEEND expresses their thoughts

Here’s what you might have missed last week:

• UPR nursery school maintains its accreditation 

The evaluation board for AvancED reaccredited the University of Puerto Rico’s (UPR) for five more years. They also referred to it as “a loving, learning community.”

• HEEND claims that the reaccreditation of the UPR is due to the work of it’s employees

The president of the Brotherhood of Exempt Employees No Teachers (Heend), Janell M. Santana, said that the university’s employees are the ones who should be credited for the UPR’s reaccreditation by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), not the governor or the University’s administration.
