On Tuesday, the collective Teatro Universitario of the Drama Department of the University of Puerto Rico (UPR) Río Piedras Campus presented the piece «Fando y Lis», directed by professor Efraín Piñero, and it’ll be presented until this Tuesday.
The play written by Fernando Arrabal in 1955 emphasizes in the abusive relationship of a couple trying to reach the symbolic town of «Tar».
On Wednesday’s column, Social Work student, Eunice Ortiz recapitulates that “it is unacceptable that, both children and young adults, who represent the future, be the instrument that the State uses to profit.”
The UPR and the University of the Virgin Islands agreed, last Wednesday, to jointly investigate how to address the challenges facing the Caribbean islands due to atmospheric phenomena and socioeconomic changes.

The movement was led and convened by ten students from the University High School (UHS) and a student from Saint Francis School organized the Youth Climate Strike to raise awareness about the effects of the environmental crisis.
